Amazon is planning top open new servers in India. The Amazon Managing Director Amit Agarwal and the top officials of Amazon including the IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and other officials met and decided to open the new server for Amazon in India.
According to sources, the officials discussed with the minister a host of issues, including implementation of GST, clearances from Bureau of Indian Standards among others.
The sources further said that Amazon officials informed the Minister that they plan to shift its servers from Singapore to India and also set up their cloud facility in the country.
Prasad, the sources said, assured all help to the company regarding setting up of servers and cloud facility in the country.
