“We believe in digital Pakistan and cooperation and collaboration of private sector will help us to materialise this vision of accelerated digitization,†she said. Rehman said the IT ministry is already collaborating with ministry of commerce for the development of ecommerce gateway framework.
She said online commercial ventures will flourish further and consumers and companies will be able to get more confidence in online payment systems. The State Bank of Pakistan has already enabled payment service provider’s licencing framework.
“We are working on the agenda of ubiquitous development of ICT infrastructure across the country with special emphasis on serving marginalized (unserved underserved) segment of the society,†said the minister.
