To deliver the ordered product to the customers within an hour, eCommerce firm Snapdeal has launched a new service 'Snapdeal Instant'.
The service would be available first in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and after two months it will be extended to eight major cities.
Snapdeal will allow sellers to ship the product directly to consumers through its courier partners or its fulfillment centers as it is based on hyperlocal delivery approach.
Customers will not have to pay extra for getting their products delivered faster, but this service is currently limited to packages weighing below 5 kg.
Ashish Chitravanshi, Vice President Operations said that Snapdeal Instant is aimed at further improving customer experience on our platform by enabling faster deliveries and maintaining product quality at the same time.
He said the company has seen huge success with innovative initiatives in supply chain management like the 4 hour delivery and 90 minutes reverse pick up facilities and this new service is another step in that direction.
