Smartphone firm Motorola has launched the Moto Online Store down under, offering what it says is all colours and configurations of products including the new Moto G4 plus smartphone and Moto 360 smartwatch.
The online store, launching next Friday, offers a ‘click to buy’ button on Motorola products including full product warranty and support, with products shipped out of a central warehouse in Sydney.
Motorola, which is struggling to recapture lost market share after it was bought by Lenovo from Google for $US2.91 billion, said the store would allow local customers to customise their devices with different colours and finishes in a way that wasn’t previously available.
It same state metro deliveries will typically arrive in one to two business days, with same state regional and rural deliveries taking up to five business days. The new Moto G4 Plus smartphone and Moto 360 2nd Gen smartwatch will be the first products offered on the Moto Online Store, a spokesman said.
Over the coming months the full range of Moto products on sale in Australia will become available through the Moto Online Store, as will supporting accessories such as interchangeable backs for the Moto G4 Plus and interchangeable straps for the Moto 360 2nd Gen. All models sold on the Moto Online Store will have the same pricing as channel partners.
