Freecharge Revamped App with Extra Features

Digital platform FreeCharge has launched the all new app on Android with new extra features, soon to be available on Windows and iOS. The refreshed version is lighter and faster to use and will provide superior user experience. With the new version available on android, users can now pay electricity bills, landline and broadband bills earlier present only on desktop and m-site in less than 10 seconds, claims the company in a statement.

Size of the app and ease of use are important for users to use the app. And also for companies to ensure that their app finds way on users smartphone screens, which have no more than 15-20 apps. In fact uninstall rate for apps is a high 95% and most apps (which users find cumbersome to use or are not relevant) get deleted within a week of being installed. Through the refresh FreeCharge, which was acquired by online marketplace Snapdeal early this year, is trying to address these challenges as well. FreeCharge claims it has around 30 million customers.

Kunal Shah, co-founder & CEO, FreeCharge, said in a release that the refreshed app will provide comfort and ease. By introducing features like 'Refer N Earn' and 'Spin N Win', we are elevating the experience for our customers. At FreeCharge, our endeavor is to make mundane and boring transactions more secure, seamless and faster.

With 'Refer N Earn', customers can get up to Rs 1,000 cashback by sharing their unique referral code with their friends on messengers like WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms. Once their friends apply the code on their first recharge they both can get a cashback of Rs 50.

With 'Spin N Win' customers on any recharge or bill payment(s) will earn a token which can be then used to play the 'Spin N Win'. Users can get up to Rs 1,00,000 FreeCharge Wallet cashback which can then be used across all Snapdeal companies as well as to pay bill and recharge on FreeCharge.
