The Bulgarian E-commerce Association has joined Ecommerce Europe and is now the 20th national association that has joined the pan-European organization, which represents over 25,000 online retailers across Europe.
The addition of the Bulgarian E-commerce Association also means Ecommerce Europe further strengthen its representation of the Eastern European ecommerce market at a European level. The organization thinks that by joining forces with national ecommerce associations, it will be able to break down barriers to ecommerce at regional, European and global level.
“Becoming a member of Ecommerce Europe is a crucial step for the Bulgarian e-commerce market”, Janet Naidenova, Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian E-commerce Association, adds. “This membership grants us access to the European ecommerce landscape and is a necessary and natural step to support Bulgarian online merchants and the growth of the ecommerce environment.”
The Bulgarian E-commerce Association was established to be a strong voice for the ecommerce sector in Bulgaria. For this, it has set up initiatives to build consumer confidence in ecommerce, to create customer service standards, to improve the efficiency of logistics services and to improve protection and security in online shopping and online payments.
The Bulgarian E-commerce Association doesn’t have a national Trustmark scheme yet, but it has plans to implement this, as well as a European Trustmark scheme.
By adding a Bulgarian association, Ecommerce Europe now has 20 national members. They are from Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Switzerland.
